This week’s topic of the week is for both the PR writing and PR & Social Media classes.
What’s on your bucket list? Why did you choose them?
I believe everyone has one either written or tucked away in the crevices of your brain. Usually this list plays a big part in turning points of your life or when you are having a “DREAM BIG” moment. One half of my bucket list shows the things I fear but want to face and overcome; the others are things I want to accomplish in life period.
The first three on my list are because I have a fear of falling, not so much a fear of heights but they go together.
1. Ride or aid in flying a fighter jet
2. Ride in a hot air balloon
3. Zipline through the Monteverde Cloud Forest in Costa Rica. I want to be like the pig in the Geico commercial.. weeeeeeeeeeeeeweweweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
The rest of my bucket list are things that excite me!
4. Travel to Scotland. experience a little of my heritage.
5. Be happily married
6. To go to New York University’s Summer Publishing Institute (who wants to pay for my trip). I would focus mostly on the book publishing and digital parts of this 6-week program in hopes to be offered an internship or even a job during or afterwards.
7. To work for a book publishing company. Preferably for a publisher of fiction especially young adult fiction.
8. To receive my masters in Library Information Science. To be a Librarian it is basically the only career that you must have your masters in.
9. Win the lottery and do some awesome things for others with it. Some things would be funding a cancer research program, to help find a cure for pancreatic cancer. Building a dog park that is accessible to the public of Statesboro, Ga., Help fund literacy programs for adults and children that need extra little encouragement along the way.
10. Learn to shoot a gun. I need to take care of myself.

We have a lot of the same things on our bucket list. I definitely want to travel and learn to shoot a gun too. It’s something all of us girls should know I think, haha!
I also really hope to visit my roots in Scotland one day, but I would never be able to ride in a hot air balloon! I’m terrified of heights. My dad is actually head of all harrier pilots for the marine corps, so I can relate completely to why you would want to fly one of those bad boys.
My favorite have to be winning the lottery, zip line in Costa Rica and traveling to Scotland. I am also Scottish; I want to hear some bagpipes where they were created. I went on a zip line in High School it was so much fun. Costa Rica would be beautiful! And winning the lottery and helping people with the money is just a good aspiration.
